Wow! Again, this year, at this time, I feel like I'm going a mile a minute trying to wrap up last minute projects and tasks. Not to mention the running around for shopping and errands. At times I do wish things could be a little easier and more calm this time of year, but I guess it just comes with the territory, and I love the Christmas and Holiday season so much--it's definitely my favourite part of every year--so I'll never "Krank" it!! I'll put too many things on my "to do" list, stress, meltdown even, and, at some point in there, realize it's all going to be fine - it's Christmas! So, in the spirit of squeezing tasks in, of course I had to get up at least one Christmas post! In this post I'll show you how to make 2 different Christmas ornaments for an elegant touch to your Christmas Tree. And most of the supplies can be found at a dollar store. Let's take a look...
The first ball ornament I'll show in the video tutorial is this pretty pearl wrapped ornament. I saw something similar in a store or magazine and I knew immediately that I definitely needed to re-create it for my tree! It's super simple to make--one could more than likely figure it out on their own--but I'll show you how I made mine.
The second ornament I'll show you is this really fun sequin and pearl ornament. Again, I saw something similar to this in a local store and thought it was so pretty, and looked simple to make--just a bunch of pretty thrown on a ball...literally! So this is my version.
I do go over all the needed supplies in the video before I start each ornament, but I've listed the supplies you'll need as well. See the video for visual explanation.

Hi. Are the pearl sheets that you used adhesive? I was at the dollar store looking for them today and all I could find were adhesive sheets.
ReplyDeleteHi! It is me, The Creative Glow (Sam), responding, just not able to sign in to my Google account to respond as myself for some silly unknown reason. Buuutttt, to answer your question: nope, the pearls I got were not adhesive, just dry on back. I’m sure you could use the adhesive ones, but I would still add hot glue if you did, as I’m not sure the built-in adhesive would last… and with the glittery one, I’m sure it won’t adhere to the glitter… just pull the glitter away when it inevitably just falls off… so use hot glue either way, would be my advice. ;) Have fun!
