We Lost Our House // StoryTime Vlog

I guess I'm ready to share this story. I was going to wait until we had happier news to go along with it, but I felt an explanation was necessary on why you may have noticed a bit of a lull in posts here and on YouTube. If you're intrigued to find out more, just keep reading...

I won't spoil the storytime video in this post--watch the video below for the full details, of course--but this whole house hunting thing really has been taking up a lot of my time and taking time away from me doing my work here on the blog and making videos. I figured once it was all sorted, it would have been only very short term then I'd be back at my work, steady, and I'd be able to feel it was all worth it when everything was said and done. After all, I was going to end up with a better, designated space for recording my videos and for working on all my posts and art work--so EXCITING!

But then it all fell apart and all that time it took away from The Creative Glow feels like wasted time--it is both heartbreaking and frustrating...and honestly, I felt quite deflated afterwards. But, we've picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off, and we're starting to feel more positive once again! But, anyway, you'll have to watch the video to find out all about it...

Thanks to all of you for being here with me on this journey with The Creative Glow and supporting me and helping me to make it grow--we're doing great job and there's lots more to come! Who knows what the future holds...but I bet it'll be wonderful!

P.S. To any of my lovely followers who are wondering where the heck is that GiveAway I promised back at my 10,000 YouTube subscriber milestone, I promise, promise, promise it is still going to happen. I've had delays...my own fault...but I will explain all when I open that GiveAway! Once again, luv ya!

  1. I would encourage you to find a realtor who uses an electronic document signing system so that it saves a ton of time during those 5-day timelines, or even the "July 1st" timelines! These days, realtors save everyone a ton of effort and time by electronically sending the documents and contracts that need to be signed - to both the buyer and the seller, so it is easy to contact people and get things done more quickly. :)

    1. Hi Julieanne, thanks for leaving me a comment! :)
We actually had done electronic signing; everything was already signed and the house was ours, there ended up being no issues there, but because we technically missed that one date, and it was technically a condition, our contract was void, which then left the seller the opportunity to back out. Everything else was already done, once they accepted our offer with their signatures, it was legally a sale/contract...if you meet all of the conditions. If not, you have no deal. It was getting them to re-sign to amend the missed condition after they realized they had the opportunity to back out that become the problem. Electronic signature or not, you can't make someone sign if they don't want to. It all comes down to the type of person we were dealing with, most good people wouldn't back out of a deal for such a minor reason.
