Makeup In A Rush - For Busy Beauties

This one is for all you beauties in those moments when you need to get out the door in 15 minutes or less - 5 minutes to get dressed and 10 minutes (or less) on makeup! I will admit that this rarely happens for me and people who know how long I take will tell ya, too. It even frustrates me, but I just prefer to take the time to get ready - I feel much better and more confident and that just makes for a better experience and mood no matter what I'm doing. But, there are those occasions when I really have to run out, or someone is gonna pop by for a sec, and I'd at least like to be presentable and NOT look like I don't give a damn. So this is what I use really quickly in those occasions and most of these I consider my absolute essentials:

1. BB Cream - I LOVE the L'OREAL Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream! I actually use this everyday weather I'm racing the clock or have time to do my makeup the way I'd prefer. It's really does beautify your skin - it smoothes out your pores, even skin tone, and has enough coverage to blur any light blemishes without looking like a full coverage foundation. It actually looks quite natural on and lasts all day even if you have slightly oily skin. If you're worried about it, dust your face quickly with some translucent powder after you apply your concealer (below).

2. Under Eye Concealer - A MUST! I use this really great pinkish brightening concealer called Maybelline Age Rewind Under Eye Concealer in Brightening. This stuff is another amazing product! IT really doesn't look like it would do that much because it is so thin and light and is pink, but it brightens your under eyes so effectively you look instantly awake! LOVE it!

3. Blush - Again, I feel blush is a must! Just a little light color on your cheeks can make so much of a difference in how awake and ready you look and gives your real pretty and healthy glow! Who doesn't want that? You can go for a cream blush with this in-a-rush makeup or, if you've dusted some powder on after your concealer or if you prefer, you can use a powder blush. These are two I like - Annabelle Blushon in Rose Fawn and Flower Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Chubby in Apricot-a-lot.

4. Brow Pencil - Another must, I believe! Just very quickly filling in any spots that may be thin and evening things out make a huge difference in framing your eyes and the overall look of your face. Don't go overboard with this or take too much time - remember, this is supposed to be quick! Plus, too many people these days are drawing on very harsh and angular eyebrows that really aren't very flattering to most faces... unless of course you're going for a look. But in this case, no, just leave things looking natural but cleaned up - no drawing outside your natural shape!

5. Lash Curler - It's always a great idea to curl your lashes before applying your eyeliner and mascara. It really does wonders for opening up your eyes and making them look wide and bright! It even makes your lashes appear a little longer than if you don't curl them and even a little "flirtier".

6. Eyeliner - My favourite is CoverGirl LiquilineBlast since it applies so smoothly and evenly. It's got the punch of a liquid liner but has the easy application of a pencil liner! Make sure you go for a brown-black or dark brown to keep things low-key. Apply it to just your upper lash line or your upper and a very lightly to your bottom lash line. And sometimes I just skip the eyeliner all together when I'm REALLY in a rush!

7. Mascara - If I had to choose my number one makeup must have, it would be mascara and CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion is my absolute favorite to date! It is lengthening and volumizing in one which is very important when you want those long lashes in a hurry! I always wear it in Very Black color but when I'm doing a minimal makeup like this I apply just one good coat or 2 very, very quick light coats.

So, that's it! It should take you less than 10 minutes to apply this makeup. I hope this helps a lot of you busy people out there! Hopefully I can embrace this faster makeup routine a little more often myself - goodness knows I can shave some time off my routine! I really do like it the most when I am going camping or snowboarding when I really don't want to have a face full of makeup but still want something on.
