Hi, all! Here I am with my Monthly Beauty Buys from January. I’ve got one of my favourite nail polish colors, some great new cream blushes that I’m loving, and one of the most popular shades of lipstick for the season - I love it! Let’s dive right in! ;)
This color is to die for! It, again, is by Revlon and it’s their Super Lustrous Lipstick line is Black Cherry. This color is a pretty trendy one right now and it tends to look good on pretty much everyone and, as a bonus, makes your teeth look quite white. Yes, it is a very dark color and might be a little shocking when you first put it on but it really does look so pretty. This lipstick keeps your lips quite moist and does have long wearability so that’s also quite nice.
I love this nail polish shade from Revlon – Vixen. It’s a really great color for winter. I have been trying to polish expand my options for winter recently and this has become one of my favorites. I have lots and LOTS of nail polishes, but somehow I don’t have a lot that I feel are really fitting for the season. Somehow certain colors just don’t feel right for winter. Maybe it’s just me. Also, this brand of polishes is one of my favourites; it just lasts so long without chipping or peeling. Where so many are good for only one day and then you shower or do the dishes and it just wants to peel off, I’m wearing this brand of polish now and it’s been 3 days and no sign of wear; it still looks perfect! LOVE!
These Cheek and Lip Chubbies are by a new brand called FLOWER. You may or may now have seen or heard of it if you shop at Walmart, but this is Drew Barrymore’s new cosmetics line. I’ve gotten a couple products from this line so far and I really am liking them. These Chubbies go on nice and smooth and have a nice velvety matte finish. Cream blushes are great for people who tend to have dehydrated or dry skin types because you want to keep as much moisture in your skin as possible. Applying too many powder products to your skin can absorb all that great moisture and further dry your skin, causing it to become oily. Moist is good, oily is bad…yes, there is a difference. The peach one is called Apricot-a-lot and is great for a very natural look; I like to call my "no makeup" makeup look. The pink one is called Can't Re-fuschia and creates a very nice subtle, pretty, feminine glow. There are 5 or 6 colors available. These blushes are also buildable, so you can apply them a little darker when you feel it's required. I may do a post on this line in the future since I like her mission in creating this line and, as I said, am happy with the products I’ve tried so far.
That is all!
