Journals, Bed Sheets & Over-Sized Awesome-ness!

Hello, Friends!

Today I've got a great video for you guys showing you how to customize and personalize your own art journal or writing journal, so if journaling is something you enjoy or you know someone else who really loves it, you'll want to watch this video and create one yourself! Here's mine:

I'm going to get to all the things you'll need for this project in a moment, but first I wanted to share some other things with you! :)

So, the first thing I want to show you guys are these awesome bed sheets I found at Target! Why are they sooooo awesome? Well, they are Benzoyl Peroxide Resistant!!! Which is awesome because, if you have issues with acne, then you’ve probably been recommended or, even prescribed, to use a product with Benzoyl Peroxide in it and this ingredient can really wreak havoc on fabrics that come in contact with your face, such as your bed sheets. Essentially, it causes discoloration or bleaching. Since the product is often applied before bed, it can be a real issue, so I was so pleased… no, excited to find these. Even OTC products like Proactiv contain this ingredient. It is quite common in the treatment of acne. The label also says that they resist stains from other cosmetics as well; AWESOME! So, anyhow, I just thought some of you out there may find this info useful! ;)

The second thing I wanted to show you is this awesome photo of me drinking out of this awesome over-sized tea cup!!!

I can’t describe to you how much joy I get from over-sized items… but I can show you these other photos of me to help you get a good idea:

Alright, and now the third thing is this awesome video tutorial. Again, a bit long, but there is quite a few steps and techniques involved, so it is what it is. It’s worth it to get some ideas for your own amazing personalized journal! If you don’t currently have one, then I recommend you watch this video so you can begin immediately and have one that you love to write in or sketch in or what-have-you.

Before you dive into the video though, I just wanted to let you guys know what happened with my post this week and why it is 2 days late. Having just moved, as you may have read in my previous posts or on facebook, I’ve had a lot of unpacking and organizing to do but I still wanted to make sure to do a video post, so I challenged myself to get one done anyhow, even with all the other things. What can I say but that I love doing this stuff and I love sharing it with you all! I know sometimes I will be on vacation or I will get sick, but I thought I could still manage it. But, in assuming that, I took on at least 3 or 4 day’s work with only 2 days to get it done and when one does these silly things, one always tends to run into issues. I had programs quit working on me, automatic re-starts in the middle of exporting my video, and then today I found out that the internet that is being provided to us by our landlord is not sufficient for uploading videos. We had our own services at our last place and it would take about 45 minutes to upload a video. Today when I tried with this existing internet connection it said 569 minutes… that’s 9 ½ hours!!!! But anyhow, I’m still smiling, life is still good, and my amazing boyfriend let me bring my laptop to his office in order to get this video up for you all! :) So here it is, along with a list of this I used in this tutorial:

   Things I Used:

      -  Spiral Bound Notebook or Sketchbook
      -  Plain White Paper ( I used a 65lb. card stock)
