DIY Inspiration - Cookbook/iPad Stand

INSPIRATIONS FROM | 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

I've been thinking about making a cookbook/ipad stand for a while now, to make viewing recipes in books and on my iPad much more convenient, so, in an effort to brainstorm what I would like my DIY cookbook stand to look like, I searched for some photos to inspire me. These are six that I liked the most.

I really like the look of the copper pipe stands, and I also like the idea of the weighted balls that hold the pages open when you're using the stand for books. On the other hand, I like the simplicity of the wooden block back rests as well, so I think I will try to create something that incorporates all that. I have some great ideas so far and will be buying my supplies this week/weekend. Can't wait to share my version of a DIY cookbook/ipad stand with you all, with tutorial, of course! I decided I would start sharing these inspirations for some of my DIY projects with you guys before I show you my own versions and tutorials. Sometimes the ideas for my DIY projects pop in my head and I know exactly what I want them to look like, but other times, like with this cookbook stand, I only know that I want to make one, and so I look for inspiration in things that I like. Perhaps these posts will help you guys with inspiration for your own projects as well, or may be just fun to see how I use things that inspire me to create fun things for us to make!
